Water Recycling Demonstration for Textile Industry

A Technical Report

This SMEP pilot was designed to test whether textile wastewater that had already passed through a conventional effluent treatment plant could be recycled back to production at materially meaningful recovery levels. The stated design ambition was to recover up to 80% of ETP-treated water, while also generating a defendable understanding of what happens to the remaining reject stream and what treatment additions are required to comply with ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) progressive limit for the remaining discharge.

This technical report provides an overview of the findings from the pilot.
