Organic Pyrolysis Market Assessment

A critical solution to the carbonisation of organic waste in Kenya and Uganda

Food and beverage industries release organic waste via land and water pathways. Such waste increases the pollutant load in these natural systems and impact on human and aquatic life and contributes to greenhouse gas emissions when the organic waste is disposed of in landfills and dumpsites.

This report thus investigates whether organic pyrolysis could be an effective technological solution to the current unsustainable rate of GHG emissions that can be accredited to the many food and beverage industries in Kenya and Uganda.
