End-to-End Traceability in Bangladesh’s Leather Supply Chain

A Case Study

Bangladesh’s leather sector faces increasing pressure from global buyers to provide verifiable proof of ethical sourcing and sustainable production. Traditional paper-based systems are inadequate for meeting these new due diligence and compliance standards.

This case study details the successful pilot of LeatherTrace, a digital e-traceability solution, implemented under the Traceable and Circular Leather Production (TCLP) project. The pilot connected Sadar Tannery Limited and Arcobaleno Footwear Ltd. on a single digital platform.
