PILOTING TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS
SMEP launched the procurement call Piloting technology solutions that address manufacturing pollution in East Africa in July 2022. The procurement process for this SMEP intervention area has now been completed. The SMEP team received ninety-two concepts at Stage 1: Call for Concepts. Seven concepts were shortlisted and invited to submit full proposals during Stage 2: Request for Proposal. After an extensive and rigorous evaluation process, five projects have been approved for funding. The contracting process for these projects has started.
